Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?
Honestly, and frankly, ironically, being yourself.
As simple (and cliche) as it sounds, everybody is uniquely, well, unique! And I’ve found in my experience, being unapologetically you is what makes you stand out.
Too many people fall victim to dunning Kruger effect, spotlight effect, imposter syndrome, overthinking about what others think of them, dizzied by the rapid pace of life, swamped with information and media, that we can forget to put ourselves first. And in a fast-paced world like the one we live in, being unapologetically you (yes, I said it again) really makes you shine through all the noise.
Now, this ties into my other aspect I find really stands out. And that is, well, standing out! Questioning the truth, daring to be different, not for the sake of being different per se, but for the sake of uncovering new truths, ways of life or insights that would otherwise be unnoticed or forever hidden – that’s what makes you stand out. With a little bit of rebellion, childlike ambition, and just a dash of craziness, not only will you become unique – you’ll become redefine it, imbuing the world with your distinctive, irreplaceable colours – and if that’s not unique, I don’t know what is.
And yes, this last sentence serves no purpose other than to say you read the first sentence wrong.
